Jason Mraz - Live at Stadium Negara Kuala Lumpur




Mraz’s vibrant music is influenced by reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz and hip-hop.

MULTI-TALENTED singer-songwriter Jason Mraz tours Kuala Lumpur for the first time on March 4.

In a concert organised by Martensia, Mraz will perform at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur.

His 8pm concert, which will also be broadcast on the Internet, will be preceded by an early bird ticket sale from noon to 3pm today at Sungei Wang Plaza, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.

Tickets are prized at RM68, RM88, RM168, RM208, RM138 and RM258. The early bird purchases carry a 15 per cent discount.

A vital and vibrant live performer, Mraz, 32, of Virginia, the United States, has just wrapped up a major North American tour. He is now set to tour East and Southeast Asia, visiting Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bangkok, Singapore and Jakarta besides Kuala Lumpur.
Accompanied by his critically acclaimed live band and a brass section, Mraz will perform tracks from his album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.

The San Diego, California-based songwriter has been honoured with three Grammy Award nominations, including the prestigious Song of the Year nod for I’m Yours.

Mraz was also named Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and his album was named Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

Mraz’s stylistic influences include reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz and hip-hop.

He has played with various artistes, including Jack Johnson, James Blunt, Gavin DeGraw, Paula Cole, Alanis Morissette, James Morrison, John Mayer, Jewel and Colbie Caillat.

I’m Yours has proven to be an international radio blockbuster. It caused an online commotion upon its initial release, and can now be found in thousands of user-generated videos from more than 25 countries.

It has also had more than 40 million views on YouTube and has gone double platinum with more than two million sales worldwide.

Mraz’s album was produced by Martin Terefe, known for his work with KT Tunstall, Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam), Ron Sexsmith and Morrison.

A showcase of his variegated musical tapestry and passionate, personal lyricism, the album also features collaborations with tunesmith Morrison and singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat.

Mraz’s previous albums were the platinum-certified Waiting For My Rocket To Come in 2002 and Mr A-Z in 2005.
